This week, we’re proud to share two exciting updates

Firstly, we had an inspiring day at Booth Welsh on Tuesday, where nine local schools came together to present their final Powering Futures projects. After months of hard work throughout the academic year, students showcased creative solutions to real-world challenges on topics such as homelessness and public transport. Gavin had the pleasure of joining the judging panel, hearing thoughtful presentations from students at St Matthew's Academy and Grange Academy. A huge well done to all the students—your ideas and energy were truly inspiring and left us feeling hopeful for the future.

If you’d like to get involved in the work of Powering Futures, you can connect with the team at poweringfutures.com or reach out to Gavin and Ray for an introduction.

In the same week, we also launched the first two cohorts of businesses on the CMI Sustainable Leadership Programme.

This course is designed to support senior leaders in embedding sustainability into their decision-making, helping them consider the wider environmental and social impacts of their business strategies—critical elements for long-term success and resilience.

Throughout the course, delegates will complete the following CMI units, applying them to a sustainable project:

  • 513: Managing Projects to Achieve Results
  • 514: Managing Change
  • 521: Using Data and Information for Decision Making

The CMI units, along with the Sustainable growth principles delivered by Think Partnership, will allow delegates to understand the importance and need to embed sustainable practices across their organisations and apply these new learned skills to real world projects.

To join the next course, details can be read here: reach out directly to Gavin or Ray for more information.
